Each year, the Maffra Dog Show weekend brings hundreds of dogs, handlers and spectators to the Maffra Recreation Reserve for a series of all-breeds championship shows run by the Sale–Maffra & District Kennel Club and Macalister All Breeds Kennel & Obedience Club.

The Gippsland Rail Trail
The Gippsland Rail Trail passes close to Happy Days Accommodation, giving walkers and cyclists easy access to nearby townships including Maffra, Stratford, Heyfield and Cowwarr.
From our Maffra Victoria accommodation base in Tinamba, you can follow the trail through farmland and river scenery, ride or stroll into Maffra for coffee, or continue on to Stratford, home of the Stratford on Avon Shakespeare Festival.
The regional centre of Sale, home of the RAAF Base East Sale and the famous Roulettes aerobatic team, is also within comfortable driving distance, making Happy Days a convenient Gippsland rail trail accommodation option for multi-day adventures.

Maffra – Historic Country Town Just Up the Road
Maffra is your classic Victorian country town – tree-lined main street, heritage buildings and a friendly local feel.
From Happy Days, it’s an easy drive into town for cafés, pubs, bakeries, plus supermarkets, chemist and everyday essentials. The Gippsland Vehicle Collection, local museums, riverside walks and parks for the kids are also just a few minutes away.

Happy Days is at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range part of the Alpine National Park and is the perfect start or finish for touring, bush walking, cycling and mountain bike riding. The snow fields and Walhalla are also a day trip away.
